    Gidal, Nachum Tim. Henrietta Szold: The Saga of an American Woman. Gefen, 1997. The late photojournalist documents the life of a remarkable woman. Rich with photos of her world, focus is shared with the children brought to Palestine by Youth Aliyah.

    Krantz, Hazel. Daughter of My People: Henrietta Szold and Hadassah. Lodestar/Dutton, 1987. The spirit and idealism of an indomitable woman.

    Levin, Marlin. It Takes a Dream. Gefen, 1997. Hadassah and the major events that led to the establishment of the Jewish state. (Originally published in 1973 as Balm in Gilead: The Story of Hadassah; recently updated and released as It Takes a Dream).
