On May 17, 2017, the Coalition for Women's Health Equity hosted its inaugural Women's Health Empowerment Summit at the Newseum in Washington, DC. The event brought together policymakers, thought leaders, and women's health champions during National Women's Health Week (May 14-20) to build momentum and strategize action steps to further women's health equity—from prevention and diagnosis, to treatment and cure. Watch video clips of our inspiring speakers below, then spread the word about #HealthEquity4Her.
The summit explored the rapidly changing legislative landscape and new advocacy priorities through policy briefings from government and issue experts, first-hand testimonials from patients and medical professionals, and opportunities to align mobilization efforts. Includes remarks from US Representatives Raul Ruiz, MD (CA-36), Joyce Beatty (OH-03), and Brenda Lawrence (MI-14).
