Letter from the President

Dear Members of Hadassah Chicago-North Shore Chapter,
I want to thank everyone who has made year end donations in the past couple of weeks.  There were two exciting programs to choose from. The Thanks-a-Latke letter that went out from our chapter office has received overwhelming response.  Also, the Choose Your Impact matching donations program that came from our national offices is also receiving a wonderful response.  Thank you so much for supporting the mission and mitzvah of Hadassah.  Anything postmarked by December 31 will count in your 2013 donations so there is still a little bit of time.

I don't have much else to report right now since activities are slow because of the weather and the holidays but be assured the chapter board members are working hard to make 2014 an event filled best year ever!

Shabbat Shalom,

 Michele Rubin
Chapter President

Hadassah Chicago-North Shore
is Growing!

We're starting new groups and programs!

Atid (meaning "future") is an exciting new group for women in their 20's and 30's living in the city. Group events (meeting evenings in the city) will include opportunities for personal growth, education, advocacy, Jewish continuity and fundraising. Atid is being formed in keeping with Hadassah's mission and its commitment to its partnership with the land and people of Israel, and in order to strengthen Hadassah's future. If you or someone you know may be interested in this group, please contact Nancy Spivak at nspivak@hadassah.org.

Training Wheels/Al Galgalim is returning to the northern suburbs for families with children ages 1-5 who wish to partner in discovering the joys of being Jewish. Through songs, games, stories, crafts and more, families will learn about Jewish holidays, rituals, Shabbat and more in a fun, relaxed setting. Sessions will take place throughout the year on Sunday mornings. If you or someone you know may be interested in this group, please contact Nancy Spivak at nspivak@hadassah.org.
