Letter from the President

Dear Members of Hadassah Chicago-North Shore Chapter,

I hope everyone is having a great week!  Spring has finally sprung (took long enough!) and everyone is gearing up for high season here at Hadassah.  Leah Reicin's book review this past week was both well attended and well received.  It was a great warm-up for our Education Summer Camp Series that everyone looks forward to each year.  We all love camp!!!  This year camp will meet each Wednesday morning in July and the theme is "Where in the World? Growing Up Jewish in Faraway Lands."

Before that, there is much going on. Our #ChooseYourImpact Conference will be held May 19.  Registration is good but there is still a spot for you.  Our chairs have been working very hard to make this a wonderful event you won't want to miss.  There's a session for everyone out there so sign up now!

The Associates are hosting a program for us on June 8 when Roy Kessel of the Jewish Sports Foundation will talk about integrating sports and Jewish identity.  Our Annual Walk for Life 3K will be held on Sunday, June 29 at the Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe. The committee is hard at work and is looking for volunteers for the day of the event.  They are also looking for corporate sponsors.  My dream is to have the back of the t-shirt filled with logos.  If you have a company, know someone who has a company or frequents a local business, pass them a sponsorship form (contact the office for a form or click here to download one) and help support our hospital.  You know the drill--scroll down for all the details. Lastly, it's convention time!  Registration is open for this year's Hadassah convention in Las Vegas.  I'll be there and I want all my Hadassah friends with me so sign up soon.

Happy Mother's Day to all the fabulous mothers out there and to all of you out there that have mothers as well.

Michele

Michele Rubin
Chapter President
