Be a Part of Our Year-Long Celebration
2018 is a banner year at Hadassah as we mark four major milestones. Take advantage of one — or all — of these powerful opportunities to turn your passion into action with Hadassah — in the United States, Israel and online.

Join us as we mark the State of Israel's 70th anniversary, and recognize the powerful role Hadassah women played in making the dream of Israel a reality. At the same time, help us celebrate the impact Hadassah has had on Israel and throughout the world during the first hundred years of the Hadassah Medical Organization and the Hadassah School of Nursing, as we look at the ways Hadassah innovation today is shaping the future.

Hadassah Medical Organization @100
With two world-class hospitals in Jerusalem, HMO is a testament to The Power of Women Who Do — the women of Hadassah. A small group of women in New York set in motion what was to become a medical institution renowned for extraordinary patient care and pioneering research. Along the way, they created the infrastructure that is the basis for today’s Israeli public healthcare system. In 1918, a hundred years ago, Hadassah sent our first delegation of 45 doctors, nurses, dentists and sanitary engineers to combat intolerable health conditions in postwar Palestine. The rest is history.

School of Nursing @100
The Henrietta Szold Hadassah-Hebrew University School of Nursing is marking a century of innovation. Firmly at the forefront of nursing education, more than 2,500 School of Nursing graduates have taken their place as leaders in the field of nursing in Israel and abroad — committed to public health, advancing research, and innovations in treatment and care.

Department of Ophthalmology @100
Fighting eye disease and eye care have been part of Hadassah’s history from the beginning. In 2018, HMO's Department of Ophthalmology is marking a century of service. Today the department is a powerhouse—a leader in clinical and academic ophthalmology.

State of Israel @70
Since before there was a state of Israel, Hadassah has played an integral role built around a vision for the health and wellbeing of the land and all of its people. This vision — brought to life through Hadassah's hands-on, practical Zionism — is now woven into the fabric of modern-day Israel.
