Hadassah Members Attend 2016 Supreme Court Swearing In

Hadassah Member and Associate Attorneys, former program participants, and guests attended another successful United States Supreme Court Swearing In Program in February.

The group met privately with Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg, who answered questions about Supreme Court cases, the relationship among the justices, and her personal motivations.

In addition to participating in a Swearing In ceremony before all of the Supreme Court justices and attending oral arguments, the group also met with former Solicitor General of the United States Seth Waxman (who comes from a family of Hadassah members) and enjoyed a tour of the Supreme Court Library.

Such naches to be present when our daughter, Jessica Rutherford, was sworn in at the Supreme Court in the company of 14 others in the Hadassah group. Thanks, Hadassah, for planning such a heart warming event.

Advocacy Update | Honor the memory of Kristallnacht today

Last week marked the 80th anniversary of Kristallnacht. Known as the Night of Broken Glass, this pogrom left 91 Jews dead, thousands of Jewish homes and businesses destroyed, and close to 30,000 rounded up and sent to concentration camps.
