Our chapter members originally came from Park Slope. We have now expanded and are comprised of members from all over Brooklyn. We have day and evening events held in members' homes, local restaurants, and synagogues.

Message From the President!
A New Year A New Term
We thank you honoring us with the office of Co-presidents. Thank you Ethel Gold for officiating at the December 6th Installation and for everything you do for Hadassah.
We thank Sarina Roffè for her 3 years of dedicated service and we also thank the rest of the Park Slope Board for their service and for their commitment to continue their service for the next three years. We look forward to taking Hadassah further.
Please know that if you are not a Board Member, but have some ideas for future functions—a speaker, a book, whatever—we welcome your suggestions. As of this writing, we are working on different formats for the coming seasons.
If you are a Hadassah Sister—it matters not which chapter you belong to—you are invited to attend any of our functions. A Hadassah Sister is a Hadassah Sister.
Looking back at the December Installation/Chanukah Party at Café Savor: The event was wonderful and was enjoyed by all who attended. A special thanks to Alice Fisher Rubin, Ruth Shapiro and Sarina Roffè who are providing their homes and their culinary artistry for our annual Chanukah Auction.
Again thanks to Ethel Gold for the Installation and Chanukah portion of the agenda.
By the time you receive this Bulletin, we will already have had our Winter Book Club and Pot Luck Supper, which was held on Thursday, January 25th. Thanx again to Ethel Gold, for hosting the event in her home.
The Spring Book Club and Pot Luck Supper is being hosted at the home of Hazel Tishcoff. The program is being Chaired by Cecelia Kramer. The book is “Where Did I Leave My Glasses, by Martha Weinman Lear. It should be a fun evening. This event is also a precursor to our April Event.
In April, at Barbara Katz’s home, she will be hosting a Pot Luck Supper. The speaker, Alezandra Krisztofer who brings a format to us entitled TRAIN YOUR BRAIN. Ms. Krisztofer is a Cognitive Trainer, Dance/Movement Therapist and a Recreation Consultant at the Long Island Alzheimer’s Foundation at Port Washington, New York. She is an extremely inter-esting and knowledgeable speaker. We thank Judy Silversmith for putting this event together.
As of this writing, we are working on various venues and interesting programs.
SAVE THE DATE......October 18th, at the home of Alice Fisher Rubin. The program will feature Larry Strickler. You remember him from Kutchers in the Catskills. Well, he will be presenting an evening of nostalgia. It is always good to remember the GOOD times.
We are working with Amy Schoenfeld on a special program for June. As soon as it is in place, we will tell you about it.
As we stated before, we are looking to take Hadassah further BUT it cannot happen without participation coming from you, our Hadassah Sisters.
Looking forward to seeing you at the next meeting.

Bar/Bat Mitzvah Project
Whether you are 12 or 80, male or female, Hadassah brings greater joy and purpose to your affirmation of your commitment to Judaism. In lieu of receiving personal presents, it has become the custom to place emphasis on community and charity. This is exactly what Hadassah offers you. With your own web page, you can spread the mitzvah of charity with your family and friends. When fundraising for your Bar/Bat Mitzvah Projects, make sure to let everyone know what your fundraiser is for! Direct them to your "myMitzvah Project" page and tell them about Hadassah and why you feel it is important to help! -Sheila Katz, Chair
