From our President
It is my pleasure to welcome you our chapter's web site. It was created to keep you informed about our chapter’s activities and accomplishments as well as news about our region and the work of the Hadassah Medical Organization.
We are the largest Zionist Organization in the United States, and the largest women's membership organization in the United States. With 300,000+ members and supporters, we have representation in every congressional district.
Hadassah embraces the concept of peace through medicine both as a moral imperative and a core organizational mission. Because of our outstanding example of peace through medicine, Hadassah Medical Organization is the first and only medical organization in Israel that has been nominated for a Noble Peace Prize.
A wide variety of resources are available to you here. You will find information about our chapter, including upcoming events; updates on our ongoing advocacy initiatives; contact information for our chapter.
I hope you will make use of it frequently for latest updates concerning events of importance to Hadassah, Brooklyn Region and our wonderful chapter!

Bar/Bat Mitzvah Project
Whether you are 12 or 80, male or female, Hadassah brings greater joy and purpose to your affirmation of your commitment to Judaism. In lieu of receiving personal presents, it has become the custom to place emphasis on community and charity. This is exactly what Hadassah offers you. With your own web page, you can spread the mitzvah of charity with your family and friends. When fundraising for your Bar/Bat Mitzvah Projects, make sure to let everyone know what your fundraiser is for! Direct them to your "myMitzvah Project" page and tell them about Hadassah and why you feel it is important to help! -Sheila Katz, Chair
