2020 Calendar Ad Book Special Pages
Dear Sequoia Friend,
The members of the Sequoia Chapter of Hadassah are preparing to publish the 2020 Hadassah Calendar Book. All funds raised by this useful publication are used to support the Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO) in Israel, a non-sectarian teaching and research hospital that provides health-care services to all. For 2019, let’s keep Hadassah financially strong, so Hadassah can continue doing what it does best: state-of-the-art medical innovations for which it is world famous.
Your donation will be used to take care of patients, Jews and Arabs alike, for procuring equipment and upkeep of facilities, for advanced research, and for teaching medicine, nursing and other health related skills. Your donation also supports Hadassah College Jerusalem, Young Judaea and Young Judaea Camps as well.
If you are making a contribution to the 2020 Calendar Book Special Pages this year, we thank you. Please note that all contributions must be received by Sept. 20, 2019.
On behalf of the Sequoia Board of Directors, representing over 1,100 members, Associates, and their families, please accept our deepest appreciation for your support.
Please download, print out, and mail in the Special Pages form from the Announcements section of our chapter web site:
If you prefer, you may fill out and send in the paper form (known as the Pink Pages) mailed to you with the April Bulletin.
The Hadassah Sequoia Chapter Board of Directors
From our President
Welcome to the Sequoia Chapter of Hadassah! Our chapter of approximately 1,300 members is situated right in the heart of California's Silicon Valley. We sponsor a wide variety of activities and events in accordance with Hadassah's goals of enhancing the health of people worldwide through support of medical care and research at the Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem, empowering Hadassah members and supporters, as well as youth in Israel and the U.S. with opportunities for personal growth, education, advocacy and Jewish continuity.
In recent years, Sequoia chapter activities have included book clubs, conversations with local authors, classes on art and music with a Jewish emphasis, talks with business entrepreneurs, as well as small-group activities such as lunch and conversation at local restaurants - and let's not forget our annual Hanukkah party!
We have also worked with other Jewish community organizations on activities such as educating our community on Israel advocacy, and have worked with our sister chapters in the Central Pacific Coast Region to advocate in Sacramento on behalf of health, education and other issues of importance to women and the Jewish community. Our community of Hebrew-speaking members also organize Hebrew-language events and parties for the Sequoia Chapter's Israeli community.
Take a look at our event flyers and newsletters posted below. We hope you'll join us and have a lot of fun with fellow Hadassah members and Associates, all while furthering Hadassah's good causes!
