From our President
Recently, the world celebrated Good Deeds Day initiated nine years ago by Shari Arison, an Israeli philanthropist. This year it involved 900,000 volunteers in 58 countries doing good for the benefit of others.
For 103 years, Hadassah has devoted itself to good deeds every day. We are Hadassah because of our special vision and the hard work our valued volunteer members and associates do. Through our efforts, to fund medical research, to educate our youth in Youth Aliyah, or to raise scholarship funds for Young Judaeans, we make a difference.
Hadassah volunteers participate in heart healthy initiatives such as Every Beat Counts and Every Step Counts to raise public awareness and educate women about the risk factors for heart disease and how to reduce them.
Hadassah volunteers continue to work to help stop human trafficking and to promote gender equality.
Hadassah is synonymous with advocacy for Israel and its security and for defining Zionism sponsoring webinars, book clubs and educational programs throughout the fifty states.
Hadassah volunteers contact members of Congress and state legislators to advocate for women’s health and reproductive rights, pay equity, domestic violence prevention, gun control, a strong U.S.-Israel relationship and more.
Celebrate how you make a difference each and every day in Philadelphia July 14-15, 2015 during the National Business Meeting and Symposium.
Kol Hakavod for your continued efforts to make the world a better place.
