Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization of America, is a volunteer women's organization whose members are motivated and inspired to strengthen their partnership with Israel, ensure Jewish continuity, and realize their potential as a dynamic force in American society. The Central States Region has over 10,000 members, associates and supporters in Kentucky, Michigan, Ohio, West Virginia, Buffalo and Rochester New York.

From our President
For 103 years, Hadassah has devoted itself to good deeds every day. We are Hadassah because of our special vision and the hard work our valued volunteer members and associates do. Through our efforts, to fund medical research, to educate our youth in Youth Aliyah, or to raise scholarship funds for Young Judaeans, we make a difference.
Hadassah volunteers participate in heart healthy initiatives such as Every Beat Counts and Every Step Counts to raise public awareness and educate women about the risk factors for heart disease and how to reduce them. Hadassah volunteers continue to work to help stop human trafficking and to promote gender equality.
Hadassah is synonymous with advocacy for Israel and its security and for defining Zionism sponsoring webinars, book clubs and educational programs throughout the fifty states.
Hadassah volunteers contact members of Congress and state legislators to advocate for women’s health and reproductive rights, pay equity, domestic violence prevention, gun control, a strong U.S.-Israel relationship and more.

Teri Junker announced that the next President of Central States will be Merry Lynne Lincove from Columbus Chapter! Best of all, we had the opportunity to interact with our sister members from chapters across the Central States Region!

Jew Store the Musical
May 27, 2017 - May 28, 2017
Jew Store (the Musical) will make its world premiere at the Aronoff Center’s Jarson-Kaplan Theatre. Adapted from the best selling Stella Suberman memoir, "The Jew Store", Jew Store (the Musical), is written, produced and directed by Jay Kholos, whose previous musical, "A Stoop On Orchard Street", was also performed at the Aronoff after a record breaking Off Broadway engagement. Only three performances are currently scheduled and include a 2 PM and 8 PM show on Saturday, May 27 and 2 PM matinee on Sunday, May 28. Hadassah members may ask for a 10% discount on ticket price. Mah Jongg Tournament
June 4, 2017 - June 4, 2017
Our Second Annual Mah Jongg Tournament will be on on Sunday, June 4, 2017 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel from 1pm - 4:30pm. Players will be seated randomly and rotate after each round of 4 games. You must provide your own 2017 Mah Jongg card.
