Save the Date - December 4, 2016
Save the date for the Annual meeting of Hadassah Connecticut: December 4, 2016 from 10 am to 1 PM at the Courtyard Marriott in Shelton CT. We will be installing a new Region president and new Board for 2017. We will give out awards for outstanding chapter programs, membership outreach, bulletins, education and more. Keynote speaker Pennie Sessler Branden will update us on Hadassah’s work in Israel and install the new board. Look for an invitation/flyer in your email and/or mailbox soon!
Every month, more women from around Hadassah Connecticut are supporting the wonderful work of Hadassah by becoming a member of "Chai Society," Hadassah's newest annual giving program. With the addition of our new chapter, Berkshire Hills, we can boast there are now 84 women across our Region who have joined Chai Society, thereby providing Hadassah with reliable, consistent funds.
For as little as $15 a month ($180 a year), you, too, can change a life... and make an impact. And, when you join Chai Society in our Region, you will receive a beautiful, custom-designed pin.
Contact the Region office for more information.
From our President
A few weeks ago, when beloved Shimon Peres passed away, my Rabbi sent out a note to all of his congregants with one of his favorite quotes of the late statesman: "In the evening, I make a list of the mistakes I made during the day and the people I insulted, and I look for ways to correct it. In the morning, I make a list of the dreams I had, and try to realize them."
Fitting words to live by.
