HOST is an app on your mobile device and computer. It is applicable everywhere there is a zip code. Denver Chapter of Hadassah gets 3x $74 credit for everyone in chapter who signs up for it.

At Hadassah, we embrace tikkun olam through support of the Hadassah Medical Organization’s worldwide humanitarian outreach, medical research, and American advocacy. Hadassah continues to build bridges to peace through medicine, providing humanitarian aid from Israel to those in need worldwide. We wish you a healthy and happy New Year, a year of peace in our country and all over the world for 5779.

Mazel Tov to Evelyn Shamon on the naming of her great granddaughter, Ava Lynne Diot. Mazel Tov to our member, Regina Topelson, who was featured on 9 News in September in a segment on seasonal food in Colorado with recipes utilizing those fall fruits and vegetables. Condolences to Pearl Neiman on the passing of her sister, Judy Gorewitz. Condolences tothe family of Lee Feldman. Condolences to the family of Stella "Becky" Hayutin. Daytime Movie Event
The next movie will be "Crossing Delancy", starring Amy Irving, about a Manhattan single girl who meets a man through her Jewish grandmother's matchmaker. It will take place on October 22nd at 1:00 pm at a private home. Please RSVP through the eblast as space is limited. A donation of $7 to Hadassah is requested.

Sunday, November 4th, 11:00 am Brookdale Mountainview Community Room 8101 E Mississippi Ave, Denver Past Hadassah Regional President and National Board member Liz Fox presents her book “We are Going to be Lucky: A World War II Love Story in Letters” The story, a series of letters her parents exchanged throughout the war, shows the difficulties they faced both at war and at the home front. Loving, touching, inciteful – you won’t want to miss her presentation. $25, or $25/2 if you bring a friend who joins Hadassah at the brunch Donations go to update and refurbish the Round Building (the first Hadassah building at Ein Kerem). Denver Chapter’s Winter Party, Dinner, and InstallationTBA
Winter is coming…warm up with Denver Chapter’s Winter Party, Dinner, and Installation featuring guest speaker Gilat Yihye Wednesday, December 12th, 5:30pm $36 Gilat Yihye, a graduate from the Henrietta Szold Hadassah Hebrew University School of Nursing, worked at Hadassah Hospital as an Emergency Room nurse, as head of the Medical ICU, as an Airborne flight nurse, and as a Lung Transplant coordinator. She travelled to Ethiopia with the Joy & Love Art project to reduce HIV/AIDS child mortality. Please rsvp/prepay by Dec 5 to Bobbie at 303-229-7636. This is a speaker you do not want to miss! Evening Book Group
Evening Book Group discusses book with Jewish content or author. Meets every other month year round at a participant's home. Meet for dinner around 6 pm, then go to a member's house for discussion. Contact Fran Cohen.

Learn Hebrew the Hadassah Way! Ivrit L'Hadassah meets weekly and goes through the Hadassah book on how to speak and read Hebrew. Please contact Mara Shapiro.
