June 2018 President’s Message

Dear Hadassah Friends,

We will always remember June 1967 when Hadassah President Charlotte Jacobson received the keys to Mt. Scopus medical Center following the Six-Day war. Hadassah continues to further its members understanding of Israel and Zionism with exciting programs.

Hadassah has teamed up with historian and commentator Gil Troy. He has prepared Hadassah study guides (now available on myHadassah) to complement his new book, The Zionist Ideas: Visions for the Jewish Homeland—Then, Now, Tomorrow (JPS Anthologies of Jewish Thought), which is now available for pre-order on Amazon. You can begin to plan for late Spring/Summer, or early Fall study groups. Please share the link so that your study group participants can order their book today. If you have any additional questions, please contact Judy Shereck at programming@hadassah.org.

Sign up for Hadassah’s email Advocacy Alerts to stay informed on the latest Zionist and Domestic legislation before congress, Hadassah’s policy priorities and opportunities for action. Once signed up you will receive monthly Zionist highlights and bi-weekly advocacy updates.

Host a Defining Zionism event! Hadassah invites thoughtful, engaging speakers to talk about Zionism from his/her personal perspective. Sessions are divided short videos, enabling you to watch at your convenience, one after the other or spread out over hours or days. Speakers—scholars, activists and community leaders—will have you thinking in new ways about Israel, Zionism, and how they relate to you.  The program is free of charge and open to all.
