2019 REGION CALENDAR
Please join us as we once again study together .
In keeping with the current interest in the Supreme Court, we will delve into the influences of the Jewish Justices of the Supreme Court. Our text will be David Dalin’s JEWISH JUSTICES OF THE SUPREME COURT: FROM BRANDEIS TO KAGAN. You can purchase a copy of Dalin’s book at bookstores as well as on Amazon.
We will examine and explore the lives of these eight special people, the time period in which they were selected and the influence if any, they wielded. This stimulating text and thoughtful members’ input will not only provide sparkling conversation but intellectual growth. We invite you to become a vital and needed member of our MACHON group.
We meet in the Hadassah Region office : 1325 S. Congress Avenue # 209. Boynton Beach, FL

From our President
Rain- buckets of rain…beautiful palm trees…greener than green grass. There are so many things we take for granted living in beautiful Palm Beach. Everything is in abundance (food, sun, water, hospital, time). Sand, intense heat, parched desert, biting flies, no water, pregnant women, diseased, emaciated babies- Henrietta Szold’s Palestine 107 years ago.
Hadassah Hospital, an oasis in a once parched land. We have built a dream into a reality.
If at times when we are being too aggressive when we ask you for monetary support, think about all the comforts we have at our fingertips. Don’t get upset with us. We are trying to keep that dream alive. You are the only ones we can turn to. Yes, you are living in the land of abundance. But Israel was your grandparent’s prayer.
Hadassah- Israel that is our connection to millions of dreams.
We are now in the midst of change. Life is faster, people are living longer, children speak a different language. The wind of change is all around us.
I am challenging you to get out there and use your voice. Talk about what we do for humanity, protect our history, ask your friends for support, tell your grandchildren how busy you are growing a better future for them. This is not just about Hadassah- this is about you. In order to keep a dream alive it must be nurtured. Our desert is now a beautiful oasis. But it takes a dream to make it happen.
Florida Atlantic published its first hard copy bulletin. This is an exciting step for the Region. Our mailing list is huge. It is an opportunity to reach members that do not keep close touch with Region happenings. If there are special events in your Chapter, ask your President to send us a photo. There’s a chance it will appear in our next bulletin.
