Hadassah

St. Petersburg

The St. Petersburg Chapter of Hadassah is a diverse group of women who live in the greater St. Petersburg Area. With nearly 500 members and associates, we are a part of the 300,000 Hadassah volunteers around the world concerned with making our world a better place. Whether it is saving lives at the Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem; supporting a camp for our children through Young Judaea; educating ourselves about the world around us; or making friends and having fun, our chapter is unique and offers many programs and many volunteer opportunities. Hadassah St. Pete will get you connected with other women like you.

CHANUKAH PARTY REVISITED
auctionhostess

The home of Denise Kirschbaum was the setting for a festive celebration of Chanukah. Holiday delicacies and other goodies were tasty and appreciated. Patricia Levinson gave an update of Hadassah's medical breakthroughs. Rhoda Ross was the auctioneer of the silent auction and successfully coaxed higher bids for the items for a good caause. A fun time was had by all. Exchsnges ofg Happy Chanukah and Happy New Year wishes ended a lovely evening.

From our President

                          President's Ponderings

Shalom Members,

As we approach Chanukah and the end of the Hadassah year, our chapter can look back on many memorable events.  The year started with the award-winning "We Will for Jill" Event .  It was successful in bringing members of the community together in addition to raising money for Hadassah and Women's Health Education in memory of one of our wonderful members.  Barbara Goldstein "BG", our Deputy Executive Director of Hadassah Israel, spoke to us about Missions to Israel.  Ann Haendel spoke to us about BDS.  Yom Ha'Atzmaut  was toasted with a tour of the Orange Groves Winery.  Mah Jongg and yoga on the beach were relaxing activities.  We held Passover and Sukkot programs.

Recently the chapter honored its past and current presidents.  The chapter's history was recounted.

These events were planned by your hard-working board.  The board cannot do all of this alone. We have a proud past and want to have a vibrant future.  YOUR help is needed to achieve that.  Contact me and tell me what skills you have that we can use in our chapter or we can train you.  Volunteer and learn about yourself and some hidden talents you might discover.

Thank you.
