From our President
I thought I retired three years ago, but becoming President of the Dallas Chapter of Hadassah means I'm no longer “retired!” It's not just planning and attending meetings and events, it's learning! Hadassah is a complex organization with many facets. I'm exploring what Hadassah stands for and what it offers as a women’s Zionist organization, as a key player bringing innovative medical research to the world, as a voice, not only for Israel but also for domestic issues, as a proponent of healthcare for women and as a contributor to Jewish continuity. We are certainly women who do!
Browsing our national website is eye opening: www.hadassah.org. You can look at “Defining Zionism in the 21st Century” or at how we advocate to eliminate human trafficking. You can see the new Operating Room Complex designed for top tier surgeries protected way below ground or you can read the many touching personal stories and see how Hadassah Hospitals reversed the odds using expertise and technology. You can be proud of our world class medical teams who operated on a 5 month old fetus with spina bifida or who used dual robotic systems to perform complex spine surgery. You can become part of our efforts to promote women’s health.
The Chapter is working hard to support our mission in as many ways as we can. There are so many ways we can add to the accomplishments of Hadassah! Your volunteer time and donation dollars have been well used. We are hoping to do even more! Open our e-news, check out our Facebook page, Hadassah Dallas, and our Facebook group, Dallas Chapter of Hadassah. Reach out to be included. Contact the Dallas office or me.
With appreciation for your generosity,
Pat Silverman Rosson
