Have you heard about Chai Society, Hadassah’s newest annual giving program?
Members all over the country are choosing where they want their annual donation to go. You can change a life, give a helping hand to the most vulnerable, or support future medical miracles.
Would you consider giving $15 or $30 each month to be part of Hadassah’s Chai Society? Your generosity as an annual giver would ensure that Hadassah can continue to provide life-saving care to the people of Israel. Especially during times when there is war or terror attacks, maintaining the state-of-the-art trauma care that Hadassah Medical Organization is known for is critically important. While we pray for peace in Israel, we must do all we can to heal those who are ill or injured. Your annual support would make that possible.
We hope to welcome you to Chai Society in the near future.

From our President
Happy New Year! It is so much fun to be able to say Happy New Year at least twice a year. Did you know that in ancient times there were four new years on the Jewish calendar? One is 1 Tishrei, Rosh Hashanah; second is 15 Shevat, the new year for trees, also known as Tu B'shvat; third corresponds to the season of the redemption from Egypt and the birth of the Israelite nation on 1 Nisan and Passover is on 15 Nissan; and fourth is 1 Elul New Year for the tithing of cattle.
We are looking forward to a fulfilling Hadassah 2019, something for all, and hope to see more members and new members at events. Our board is reorganizing so if you are interested in getting more involved, let us know, an hour here or an hour there and a chance to share your passion with the Hadassah community. Contact: Andi Shuman Wirpel (email@example.com).
A Thank You from the Fienberg Family
Recently a Hadassah fund was set up for a daily and Perpetual Yahrzeit to be said for all the 11 who were murdered at the Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh. My wonderful Mother-in-Law, Joyce Fienberg, was among the 11. As a representative for my family, I want to thank you for your support and the outpouring of love.
