April 6.  6-7 pm.   Before the Rachel/Leah Play begins….

Hadassah member pre-event reception before the curtain rises at the Seattle world premiere of the Rachel/Leah play.  

Pamela Lavitt, Director of Cultural Arts and the Seattle Jewish Film Festival, will set the stage for us.  The play begins at 7:30 pm.   Purchase tickets at http:/sjcc.org/cultural arts.

July 20.  7 – 9 pm. Evening with Debbi Perkul, author of “Winds Over Jerusalem”

Description:  Come meet the author of the newly released “Winds over Jerusalem”.  This story is based on Perkul’s great, great, great Aunt and Pioneer Hadassah Nurse Rae Landy, sent by Hadassah to Palestine in 1913. Debbi is donating a portion of her book sales on this evening to Hadassah.

November 8, 6:15 – 9 pm. Dr. Carla Greenbaum’s Pivotal Leadership in International Diabetes Research

Dr. Greenbaum is the Director of Benaroya Research Institute’s Diabetes Research Program and Clinical Research Center.   She is internationally recognized as a leader in translating basic science into clinical trials to prevent or interfere with the diabetes autoimmune process.  Hear stories from Dr. Greenbaum about progress in clinical trials with local patients, as well as her collaborations with international colleagues, including Israeli doctors.  Included is a personal tour of the BRI labs.
