The Hadassah Foundation Awards $360,000 in Grants to U.S., Israeli Organizations
The Hadassah Foundation announced today that it awarded grants totaling $360,000 in 2014 to 22 organizations that enhance economic opportunities for women in Israel and provide leadership training to teens and young women in the United States. Date: 8/15/2014

During Operation Protective Edge, bulldozers played a critical role in destroying the tunnels dug by Hamas to infiltrate Israel. It is with a heavy heart that we learned a few hours ago that the bodies of the three kidnapped Israeli teenagers have been found in Hebron. Naftali Frankel, 16, who had dual Israeli-American citizenship; Gilad Shaar, 16; and Eyal Yifrach, 19, were abducted on their way home from school on June 12. Date: 7/1/2014

Shabbat Zachor holds particular importance as Hadassah was founded during Purim and was Esther's Hebrew name.
