For the past 20 years, every student in Hadassah's medical school has participated in a two-week trauma course after finishing his sixth year; as a result, there are almost 3,000 Hadassah graduates practicing medicine around the world who have been trained to treat blast trauma victims and handle triage during a mass casualty event.

Pilgrimage Ends With Organ Donations at Hadassah
A 61-year-old Christian tourist from Russia suffered a massive heart attack during a pilgrimage to the holy Christian sites in Israel a few weeks ago. She was rushed to the Hadassah Medical Organization, suffering from extensive brain damage and was immediately admitted to Hadassah's Intensive Care Unit. After numerous efforts to save her life were unsuccessful, the doctors had to pronounce her brain dead.
