Ten women from the Galim Chapter, Greater Miami
Region, won the 2010 Judith Epstein Young Leadership Award for their community
project, Moonwalk Back to the ‘80s. The
award was presented on July 25 by Kathy Hershfield, Young Women’s chair,
at Hadassah’s National Convention in Hollywood, FL. Hadassah presents this
honor each year to young leaders whose community project most successfully

Eleven women from the Harrisburg Chapter, Northern Seaboard Region, were runners-up for the 2010 Judith Epstein Young Leadership Award for founding the Young Women’s Council of Harrisburg. The award was announced at Hadassah’s National Convention in Hollywood, FL. Hadassah presents this honor each year to young leaders whose community project most successfully promotes Hadassah.

The Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women
Since, 1980, Hadassah has shown its strong support for ratification of CEDAW and affirmed in 1994 that “it is imperative that the United States, a leader in the human rights arena and an active party in drafting the document, honor its international commitments and ratify the Convention . . .” Hadassah is proud to join the CEDAW Task Force of The Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights for a Week of Action to support U.S. ratification.
