Urge Congress to Affirm Support for Israel

Israel once again finds itself in a time of crisis, forced to take military action to defend its citizens from indiscriminate rocket and mortar fire. American support and strategic partnerships are instrumental to securing Israel’s safety. In recent days over 500 rockets have been launched at Israel from Gaza, and over 75 missiles headed for populated areas were intercepted by the Iron Dome missile defense system. Date: 7/10/2014

Let us Bow our Heads: Mourning Eyal, Gilad and Naftali
It is with a heavy heart that we learned a few hours ago that the bodies of the three kidnapped Israeli teenagers have been found in Hebron. Naftali Frankel, 16, who had dual Israeli-American citizenship; Gilad Shaar, 16; and Eyal Yifrach, 19, were abducted on their way home from school on June 12. Date: 7/1/2014

Hadassah congratulates Israeli President-elect Reuven Rivlin on his election as the 10th President of Israel. Rivlin, a member of the Likud party, has been a Member of the Knesset (MK) since 1988 and served twice as Speaker of the Knesset. He also served as the Minister of Communications from 2001-2003. Rivlin, a lawyer by training, was also director and chairman of the Beitar Jerusalem Sports Association and chairman of the Institute for Occupational Safety and Hygiene. Date: 6/10/2014
