Sunday, August 10, 1 pm - The August Hadassah Book Group will discuss “The Boys in the Boat and Their Epic Quest for Gold at the 1936 Berlin Olympics” by Daniel Brown on Sunday August 10, at 1:00 pm at the Weinstein JCC.  This book is a departure from the books we usually discuss. It is the story of how, against all odds, nine boys from the University of Washington faced the rowing teams of not just other elite Universities but ultimately the German crew team in the 1936 Munich Olympics.  All the time, the young men displayed extraordinary camaraderie and precision. Everyone is welcome to join in the discussion or to just listen to this compelling story that reads like a novel.  For further information contact Deborah Cohen at Deborah.Cohen@suntrust.com
