This month we celebrate Purim and recognize the devotion of one of the heroines of the Jewish people, Esther. Esther’s wisdom and dedication to her people enabled her to meet the challenges presented to her.
Sissy Princz, like Esther, stepped up and responded to the challenges presented her by her community. Throughout her life, she has been a devoted, hard-working Hadassah member and leader in our chapter as well as other Jewish organizations.
Sissy has been an ardent Zionist for over 60 years and a staunch supporter of Youth Aliyah. Before coming to our area, Sissy was active in the Pittsburg Young Zionists and, later, the Pittsburg Chapter of Hadassah, where she served in many capacities including the Presidency. She also served as Secretary of the Western Pennsylvania Zionist Youth Commission. In our community, Sissy is a Past President of the National Council of Jewish Women and Past Vice President of the Sisterhood of the Highland Park Conservative Temple. In our Chapter, Sissy was the President of the Chaim Weizman Group and later, Co-President of our Chapter.
With great pleasure, I invite everyone to join together as Raritan Valley Hadassah honors our long time member and friend, SISSY PRINCZ, at our annual Youth Aliyah Brunch. The event will take place on Sunday, March 6, 11:00 a.m., at Congregation Ahavas Achim. Please be a part of this special tribute to a very special woman and in her honor, support the wonderful work of Youth Aliyah.
