Broccoli Slaw

 

Over the years we have shared recipes from some of the wonderful cooks of Park Slope Hadassah. They have brought new and traditional dishes from all over the world to our events. This page will serve as an archive for these recipes.

Broccoli Slaw

Ingredients:

1 Package broccoli slaw (or a large bunch of fresh broccoli, stems peeled, all coarsely grated)

2 Packages ramen noodles

4 Scallion, chopped

1/2 C Slivered almonds

 C Vinegar

3/4 C Vegetable oil

1/2 C Sugar

1/2 C Sunflower seeds

Dried cranberries (optional, to taste)

 

Sauce:

1.     Mix vinegar, oil and sugar together in a small bowl with the contents of the seasoning packets from the ramen noodles.

 

Salad:

1.     In a large bowl, combine broccoli slaw, almonds, sunflower seeds, and scallions.

2.     Crumble the ramen noodles into the bowl.

3.     Add sauce and mix.

4.     (Optional) Sprinkle with dried cranberries.

5.     Serve.
