Hadassah National President Meets With Israel’s Minister of Health

JERUSALEM – Hadassah
National President Marcie Natan today met with Israel’s Deputy Health Minister
Yaakov Litzman to discuss current health issues in Israel. Hadassah Medical Organization Chair
Joyce Rabin was also part of the meeting.
Natan and Rabin are in Israel to attend meetings of the Board of
Directors of Hadassah Medical Organization.
Later, they will attend a reception at the home of President
Shimon Peres, given in honor of Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of
Health and health care remain integral to Hadassah’s
work. The national women’s
organization is currently in the midst of raising funds for the state-of-the-art
Sarah Wetsman Davidson Hospital Tower, currently under construction at its
hospital in Jerusalem. Hadassah
anticipates that it will begin treating patients in the tower in March of next
year, and it will be formally dedicated at Hadassah’s Centennial Convention in
October 2012, which will be celebrated in Jerusalem, in the presence of
thousands of Hadassah members from the United States and around the world.
