The 9th Annual Boston Chapter Art Auction Supporting Women's Cancer Research
Last Thursday, May 3rd, the Boston Chapter of Hadassah held its 9th Annual Art Auction for the benefit of breast and ovarian cancer research at the Hadassah Hospitals. This was a record year--78 people attended, 87 items were sold, and almost $3000 was raised for this important cause!
The auction was held at the home of Michelle Black where local artists donated art items including paintings, photographs, cards, jewelry, scarves and knitted wear.
In addition to the auction, each woman had an opportunity to buy a pink ribbon in honor or in memory of a woman in her life who faced breast or ovarian cancer. The Boston chapter created a board of ribbons to display and honor these women.
To date the Boston Chapter has raised over $23,000 for breast and ovarian cancer research.
