Andi Kron, a Hadassah Member, Spending the Year Volunteering At Hadassah Neurim

"Yesterday," Andi writes, "we were short two staff in the kitchen--the manager and the chief salad-maker. To my great surprise, Eli, the chief cook, ran everything like clock-work (including helping me on the dishwasher), and created these yummy salads with an extra flair. We have hidden talent everywhere here!"

These are photos Andi writes she took "before and after the daily grind in the kitchen."

"This was sunrise at 5:00 a.m. Monday morning," Andi writes, "when I jumped on my bike and rode to the pool at Kibbutz Gvat Haim Ihud. I had the urge to swim this morning and I was able to get 30 minutes in the pool and still be at work by 7:30 on the dishwasher. I couldn't resist this shot as I exited my room. It was really foggy in the morning and I was glad I could ride the trail along the river (Nahal Alexander) for most of the way rather than be on the roads. The hills of the West Bank are only a few km away and obscured by the clouds in this photo."

"I think this picture captures the essence of life here at Hadassah Neurim,--three girls walking to the dining hall arm in arm, relaxed and happy," she writes. "You don't see this too much in the states. "
