HADASSAH NAMES RICK ANNIS CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
(New York, NY -- December 15, 2006) -- Rick Annis, of Old Tappan, NJ, has been named Chief Financial Officer of Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America. His appointment, effective January 8, 2007, follows a thorough search by the largest Jewish women’s organization in the U.S. to fill its top financial position.
Annis comes to Hadassah from Yeshiva University, where he has been Chief Financial Officer, responsible for all financial and business affairs for this major American university and all its schools, including Albert Einstein College of Medicine. Prior to holding that position, he was CFO for a number of hospitals and healthcare systems both in the New York metropolitan area and in places like Chicago, Cincinnati, and South Bend, Indiana. For the last two years, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem. He is a Fellow of the Healthcare Financial Management Association, Past President of the Long Island Chapter of Financial Executives International. He is a national speaker on business and healthcare issues and has published numerous articles on finance in various journals and magazines.
In announcing his appointment, June Walker, National President of Hadassah, said: “We are very pleased to have brought Rick Annis to Hadassah, where we are sure his deep and broad background in healthcare financial management will serve the organization well. It is especially gratifying that he is already familiar with our medical facilities in Israel from his valuable work as a board member for the Hadassah Medical Organization.”
Annis is a volunteer fire fighter in Old Tappan and a long-distance runner.
