Young Judaea has received a large grant to help families this year from the northern California area send their children to one of the following programs:
• Year Course 2011-12 – Gap Year in Israel for High School graduates
• Israel Summer Programs – July and August 2011
• Young Judaea's flagship Camp Tel Yehudah for grades 9-12 located in
Barryville, New York – summer 2011. This includes our unique Havurah program for campers from the Russian speaking community. This is an incredible, one-time opportunity. These need-based scholarships are open to all Northern California Jewish youth, living in communities north of Los Angeles. Applicants do not have to have been members of Young Judaea, nor to have attended Young Judaea programs in the past.
All scholarships must be awarded by April 1, 2011. You must be registered for one of the programs above and a scholarship application must be filed by March 1, 2011. Young Judaea is the Zionist Youth Movement of Hadassah. Hadassah, the Women's Zionist Organization of America, takes action by saving hundreds of lives each day through its hospitals in Israel and advocacy in the United States. Young Judaea challenges youth to become involved in social and educational activities that develop and sharpen their senses of Jewish and Zionist identity.
