Julia Nuterman, a graduate of the Meir Shfeyah High School, received a laptop computer courtesy of Hadassah.
Nuterman was in the Naale Program at Meir Shfeyah, which brings young people to Israel while their families remain in their native countries. She finished high school six years ago, completed her army service and is now studying Early Childhood Education at the Oranim College in Tivon.
Nuterman is living in the dormitories at the college and is in her third year of studies. She wrote this note in appreciation of the laptop she received:
Dear friends at Hadassah,
My name is Julia Nuterman and I would like to thank you for the computer I received from you few weeks ago.
I am a third year student at the Oranim College in Tivon. I chose to study kindergarten teaching because I love children and I can imagine myself in the future working in this field.
Both my parents and my only brother were born and still live in Russia .
I came to Israel in 2003 in Naale project at Meir Shfeyah without my parents.
Now I live in Kiryat Tivon with one roommate in students' dorms.
I served in the Israel Defense Forces for 2 years before studying.
This computer is a great help for me, and without it I would have great difficulties in my studies because it was hard to use the computer in the library all of the time.
