Hadassah Foundation Director Rabbi Ellen Flax gave out the graduation certificates to the thirteen women who graduated from the joint training program for Haredi Early Childhood Education Counselors at the Hebrew University.
Partnering with the National Council of Jewish Women’s Research Institute for Innovation in Education at the Hebrew University, the Foundation is supporting this program to provide work opportunity for women. In a rare entry into academia by women who belong to different segments of the Haredi, ultra-Orthodox community, the course provided the opportunity to study academic materials used in the institute training courses to improve classroom success and support as ambassadors in their community. “We’re excited and ready to work,” said Michal Kerstein (in orange.) Said Rabbi Flax, “We’re very excited to be sponsoring this program which gives a real economic future to Haredi women, such a critical population group.”
