Senate Votes on Pay Equity Tomorrow Last week, the House voted down a motion to consider the Paycheck Fairness Act, but a vote is scheduled in the Senate TOMORROW. Now is the last chance to contact the Senate! Instuctions for the Paycheck Fairness Act Call-In Number and the Hadassah National Action Center can be found below.
A vote on the Paycheck Fairness Act is expected in the coming weeks, so your Senators need to hear from you now! For the next 48 hours, Hadassah and its coalition partners have joined forces for collective call-in days. Women and men from across the country are making their voices heard, bombarding the Senate with a strong, unequivocal message—America's women deserve equal pay!
The coalition has set up a Paycheck Fairness Act Call-In Number, so the process couldn’t be simpler. Take 2 minutes and call your Senators about the Paycheck Fairness Act today!
1) Dial 888-876-9527 and listen to the sample script about the importance of the Paycheck Fairness Act.
2) Listen and follow the instructions on how to connect to your Senator's office. The message will prompt you for a zip code. Once entered, the system will identify and connect you to the correct office.
3) Once connected, state your name and urge your Senator to co-sponsor and support the Paycheck Fairness Act. You may also want to share some personal comments about why pay equity is important to you.
4) Don't neglect your other Senator. Call back and make sure he or she also gets a call.
