Hadassah Juvenile Diabetes Conference Draws 100 Participants from All Sectors of Jerusalem

Young patients and their parents from all sectors of Jerusalem's population attended the 10th annual conference of the Hadassah Juvenile Diabetes Clinic, an event initiated by Dr. David Zangen, Director of the Pediatric Endocrinology and Juvenile Diabetes Unit at Hadassah Hospital-Mt. Scopus.

Comprised of lectures by Hadassah's diabetes specialists on innovations in juvenile diabetes and the showcasing of devices for insulin injection and blood sugar monitoring, the conference also included a movie and art and crafts activities for the children. The gathering afforded patients the opportunity to join with others who face the same challenges and share their experiences, helping them feel less alone in coping with diabetes.
