Over 250 people attended Hadassah of Greater Philadelphia's annual Education Day on Tuesday, November 15, 2012. The topic, Israel's Right to Exist…but What If? examined the global campaign to delegitimize Israel politically, economically, on college campuses and through the United Nations. The Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement was discussed in relationship to Israel's growing isolation in the world arena. In addition, the audience learned ways that they are able to advocate on behalf of Israel. Guest speakers included former US Ambassador to the United Nations, Richard Schifter, who served as the keynote speaker; Cliff Goldstein, President of AMIDEX Funds, Inc. and Member of the Board of the America Israel Chamber of Commerce; Seth Finkelstein, senior at the University of Maryland and Past National President of Young Judaea; and Judy Shereck, National Board Member and National Hadassah Zionist Affairs Chair.
