The Knoxville Chapter of Hadassah has done it
again. A very successful HMO luncheon was held in December with over
65 people in attendance, including many Associates. Post Traumatic Stress
Disorder (PTSD) was the topic and a panel of professionals discussed the
issues, which included a rabbi, a lawyer, a stress management/meditation
specialist, and a mental health professional. Marcia Shloush, Fundraising
VP and her co-chairs, Mary Evars-Goan and Nancy Britcher updated the attendees
with the inroads that Hadassah is making in this area, including recent studies
and programs. Marcia also updated everyone on the progress of the Sarah
Wetsman Davidson Hospital Tower and encouraged all to join Hadassah in Israel in
October 2012. Over $2,200 was raised for the Tower at this event.
In addition to the money raised, several people became Associates and Life Members.
