|Hadassah Leadership Development: “Mini-Boot Camp Training” |
Hadassah of Greater Philadelphia
Batya Warshawsky (l), President of Sabra Group and Mindy Oppenheimer, Leadership Development Chair, with Traveling Henrietta and some training materials.
Mindy Oppenheimer, Leadership Development Chair of Hadassah of Greater Philadelphia, recently facilitated a leadership skills training "Mini-Boot Camp" at Old York Road Temple Beth Am to address what leaders can do to build and reinforce their volunteer core. She emphasized that every leader can use a new trick or two when it comes to keeping her group and events running smoothly. This training was open to all emerging and returning leaders, and had participants from the Newtown and Rebecca Gratz Groups. Chapter President Roz Holberg delivered a brief "State of the Projects" address, which included an update from the Mid-Winter National Board meetings on what's happening now, both here and overseas. Batya Warshowsky, President of Sabra Hadassah, focused on conflict management and resolution, with an emphasis on skill development in active listening and interpersonal problem solving. Prior to the event, workshop participants were asked to complete a brief survey on their leadership experience and areas of interests. Informational handout materials were available after the event.
