|Celebrating the Ta Tas in North Carolina |
One hundred cancer survivors, models, artists, photographers, doctors and vendors joined Hadassah members and friends from the greater Charlotte community to learn about the fight against breast cancer and to "Celebrate the Ta Tas."
Women guests were escorted to a luxurious black velvet booth where their personal artists awaited them. Female artists created original works of art while listening to the women's personal stories and dreams. When the paintings were completed, female photographers took amazing photos and the result was a spectacular work of art. In the process, Hadassah Charlotte created a coalition with local OB/GYNs, radiologists and a Presbyterian mammogram Mobil unit. They were all available for women and open to the public.
Every woman left with a smile and the feedback was gratifying. Survivors and participating women said they felt beautiful, special and eager to participate in this program again.
On November 3rd, the Celebrate the Ta Tas artistic photographs were exhibited, and survivors told their stories of courage and optimism - in person and by video.
The members of Hadassah's Charlotte Chapter wanted to raise money for breast cancer research at Hadassah Medical Center and they did it in an innovative and unforgettable way.
