Philadelphia members participate in Education Day
The Power of Jewish Humor was the topic for Hadassah of Greater Philadelphia's annual Education Day held on Wednesday, April 17 at Meadowlands Country Club. Over 350 people attended to hear guest speakers, Yisrael Campbell, internationally acclaimed comedian; Emilie Passow, Ph.D, academician and lecturer; and Dr. Joel Schwartz, the Stress Less Shrink, speaker and author; discuss how humor can heal the soul.
Much laughter and positive feelings were expressed throughout the day especially when attendees were asked to wear big red noses to demonstrate how this could make them feel better. The afternoon speaker, Barbara Goldstein (BG), Deputy Director of the Hadassah Office in Israel, presented an inspirational speech about the power of Hadassah and Israel. The day was a huge success with the everyone feeling good about themselves and vowing to continue to laugh every day.
