|Florida Atlantic Holds Mystery Party Fundraiser|
Atlantic Region held an interactive mystery event fund raiser at
the Benvenuto Restaurant in Boynton Beach.A production company was contracted to produce an original
interactive script for Hadassah. Entitled “One Less for Lunch – A Hadassah
Mystery” the coordinator incorporated information about the attendees as part
of the skit. This information was identifiable by the audience and made it
funny and more meaningful.
The Region included
many components for fund raising such as selling “puzzle pieces” for aRoad
to Delivery Wall Tile inscribed with the winner's name. A participant could
purchase a number from 1 to 84 for $50. The number was drawn on the day of the
event and the person did not need to be in attendance to win. Also, they sold
raffles for gift baskets and dinners. They solicited table sponsors and produced
a tribute ad book. In addition to fund raising, education was included when a
speaker spoke about “Israel at 65.”
participation, the Region devoted much time and effort in publicizing the
event. They sent invitations, produced registration flyers and even gave out
notepads with the event information at a Region conference prior to the event.
The day was a huge
success thanks to the efforts of Joan Baron, President of Florida Atlantic
Region, Lydia Krieg, Corresponding Secretary, Iris Rothstein, Joan Sarasky,
Lonnie Sterling and their committees. Chapters throughout the Region
participated and helped raise $20,000 for Hadassah.
