|Boston Chapter Members “Exercise Their Way to a Healthy Heart”|
held its opening meeting on Sunday, October 27 at a local woman's gym,
Healthworks in Chestnut Hill, Mass.They implemented the Every Beat
Counts program with an “Exercise Your Way to a Healthy Heart” event.
Valerie Lowenstein opened the program with some general information on heart
disease prevention followed by the personal story of a woman who suffered and
survived a heart attack. Everyone was then treated to the choice of a Zumba or
yoga class and time to socialize was provided with healthy snacks and yogurt.
This program is the first in a series of heart healthy programs offered to
Boston’smembers and open to the entire community.
