During Hadassah's National Business Meeting in July 2011, Keepers of the Gate from around the country and Israel gathered in Vegas at a special reception featuring Barbara Goldstein, Deputy Director of Hadassah Offices in Israel. Everyone in the room was enraptured by Barbara's moving words as she thanked each Keeper for being "Keepers of the Gates… for the gates of Healing, of Research, of Education, and of Jerusalem, which holds the heart of Hadassah."

Roz Kantor, National Chair of Keepers of the Gate, then asked Barbara to present the Keepers signature David's Harp pin to two of Hadassah's newest Keepers, Barbara Raben and Elaine Burke, co-presidents of Hadassah Southern Nevada and the local organizers of the National Business Meeting. Riding on the power of the moment, several people became Keepers and Associate Keepers of the Gate. Tears of happiness were shed by Fern Marks as her husband and immediate past President of Associates, Joel Marks, surprised her with a Golden Keeper of the Gate pin.

Be sure to sign up for the next Keepers of the Gate reception taking place in Jerusalem on Monday, October 15, 2012, during Hadassah's Centennial Convention! Contact 888.533.2980 or keepers@hadassah.org for more information.
