HMO Update - Monday 10/31/2011

Seeking to further their knowledge of Israeli emergency preparedness measures, a delegation of high-ranking Law Enforcement officials from northeastern United States recently visited the Hadassah University Medical Center in Jerusalem. During their visit, Prof. Avi Rivkind, Head of Hadassah’s Dept. of General Surgery and Shock Trauma Unit, gave them an in-depth briefing on Hadassah’s breakthroughs in trauma treatment and Hadassah’s special program to combat motor vehicle accidents.

The delegation is pictured in the Shock Trauma Unit of Hadassah’s Judy and Sidney Swartz Center for Emergency Medicine with Prof. Rivkind (seventh from left). The mission was sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League and coordinated by Hadassah’s Influentials to Israel Program.

This was a very involved group that came with a professional agenda. Although their time with us was quite short, they seemed to be very pleased with what they saw and heard. The visit was conducted within the Influentials to Israel (I to I) Hadassah program.
