Munich Moment of Silence at Maccabi Games

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Munich Moment of Silence at Maccabi Games

The world was profoundly disappointed by the International Olympic Committee (IOC)'s refusal to honor the Munich 11 with a moment of silence during the opening of the Olympic games in London. The Jewish Community is looking to address this disappointment at the opening ceremony of the JCC Rockland Maccabi Games this Sunday, August 12, 2012. Ankie Spitzer, whose husband Andrei was among the 11 murdered athletes, will be at the JCC Rockland Maccabi Games' opening ceremony which will honor the Munich 11 with a worldwide moment of silence.

May their memories be for a blessing.
