Homeland Security Advisors Briefed at Hadassah Medical Center

Participants of the breifings at Hadassah Medical Center, including James Davis, Executive Director, Colorado Dept. of Public Safety; Donald Dunbar, Adjutant General of Wisconsin; John William Ledbetter, Executive Director, Mississippi Office of Homeland Security; Thomas MacLellan, Director, Homeland Security and Public Safety Division, National Governors Association, Maryland; David Maxwell, Director, Arkansas Dept. of Emergency Management; Thomas Minton, Director, Pennsylvania Governor's Office of Homeland Security; Gregory Myers, Executive Manager, New Mexico Dept. of Homeland Security and Emergency Management; Gilbert Orrantia, Director, Arizona Dept. of Homeland Security; Mark Perez, Special Agent, Florida Dept. of Law Enforcement's Investigations and Forensic Science Program Office; Martin Plotner, Oregon State Director, Office of Emergency Management; Kurt Reuther, Delaware Homeland Security Advisor Keith Squires, Deputy Commissioner, Utah Dept. of Public Safety; and Darryll Wong, Adjutant General of Hawaii.

At the Hadassah Medical Center in Jerusalem a delegation of Senior Homeland Security Advisors received extensive briefings on many of the aspects of involved in emergency preparedness and response – from assuring the presence of appropriate personnel to Post Traumatic Stress Disorder.

During their tour of Hadassah's Ein Kerem campus, Senior Trauma Surgeon Dr. Bala Miklush (far right) explained how the Shock Trauma Unit functions during mass casualty events and on a daily basis. Their mission was sponsored by the American Israel Education Foundation (AIEF), the charitable organization affiliated with AIPAC, and arranged by Hadassah's Influentials to Israel Program.
