A Taste from Every Beat Counts: Hadassah’s Heart Health Program
Did you know that Every Beat Counts: Hadassah’s Heart Health Program is ripe for picking programming about nutrition? Everybody eats! Everyone can learn!
Chapters across the country have had Every Beat Counts programs inviting dieticians, nutritionists, doctors, nurses, and chefs to teach about healthy eating and how to make heart health food choices. Boston went on a supermarket scavenger hunt with pediatrician and a registered dietitian. Florida Broward learned about cholesterol from a nutritionist – and attendees dined on egg white omelets for brunch.
It’s never too late to run an Every Beat Counts program in your community, and March is the right time to plan it. After this nasty winter, wouldn’t a bright array of fresh vegetables and fruits brighten the faces of your community?
