Hadassah Honors Robert L. Hopp with 2006-2007 Outstanding Associate Award

Genever McBain

(New York, NY -- July 30, 2007) -- Robert L. Hopp, from Great Neck, New York, was named the 2006-2007 Outstanding Associate, the highest honor awarded to an Associate for exceptional service. The award was presented to Hopp at the 93rd National Convention of Hadassah, the Women’s Zionist Organization of America, in New York, New York.

In tribute to his late wife Lani, who was motivated by her passion for women’s health causes and the belief that education can save lives, Robert has continued her mission to promote breast self-examination cards and, in addition, underwrites the new testicular self-examination cards. Robert also has become the first Associate Golden Keeper of the Gate.

Upon presenting him the award, Jim Smith, National President of Hadassah Associates, stated, “We are grateful for his efforts and devotion to the ideals of Hadassah and his commitment to the Jewish people. Robert and his beloved wife, Lani, worked as a team not only to raise a family but also to create a legacy of Tikkun Olam, the repairing of the world. He truly exemplifies the Associates’ partnership with the women, as well as the work, of Hadassah.”

Associates comprise the male component of Hadassah. For more information, please call Stacie Podos, National Chair of Hadassah Associates, at (212) 303-8225.
