The Gladys Dunn Gynecology Oncology Unit in the Cancer Surgery West Wing of the Sarah Wetsman Davidson Tower at Hadassah-Ein Kerem Hospital was dedicated in the Moshe Saba Masri Synagogue on Monday, October 15.
The unit was donated by the Ruderman Family Foundation, represented by Marcia Ruderman.
Tali Dowek, director of development of the Donors and Events Department, Prof. Shlomo Mor-Yosef, former director general of Hadassah Medical Organization and Dr. Avraham Ben-Shushan, head of the Gynecology Oncology Unit welcomed Marcia and her family. All expressed appreciation for the long-time, generous support of the Ruderman family to Hadassah.
Marcia's late husband Morton was an innovator in the field of global health care technology and an outstanding philanthropist in the Jewish community in the Greater Boston area, establishing the Ruderman Family Foundation which funds projects in Boston and Israel.
Marcia and Morton's son Jay and his wife Shira live in Rehovot and work to improve life for the people of Israel through the Ruderman Family Foundation, which focuses on new ways of helping people with disabilities to realize their full potential.
