Centennial Celebrations

Suffolk County Region

Hadassah supporters and friends from all over Suffolk County gathered at the Suffolk Y Jewish Community Center in Commack on August 19, at 7 pm, for a celebration of Israel featuring members of the Tzofim Friendship Caravan. Music and dance, singing and stories offered an experience of Israel as seen through the eyes of the members of Caravan "Amos." The show is cosponsored by the Suffolk Y-JCC.

"We are so excited to have the Scouts performing for Hadassah's Centennial Celebration," said Debra Cohen, who is chairing the event as vice president of the Suffolk Region of Hadassah. "They are a talented group of 17-year-old 'Tzofim' (Israel Scouts) — one of three such troupes — crisscrossing North America this summer as ambassadors of the State of Israel."

Montana Chapter

The Montana Chapter held its Hadassah Centennial Celebration on August 12 by hosting a wonderful evening complete with delicious food, fun activities and good friends. They also listened to a stimulating presentation by Bruce Barrett, Northwest Regional AIPAC Director and former Law Professor, who spoke about Henrietta Szold, the founding of Hadassah, and its place in Israel's history.
